Orchard Pruning:  In the winter and early spring over grown trees receive a cutting, removing dead branches, kris cross limbs, suckers, and downward limbs.  Pruning this time of year when the trees are dormant and sap is not running will cut down on infection to the trees. It will allowing light in and improved air movement in the tree while the fruit develops.
